Gloomy day for a wedding, not for Jeff and Debbie!
All day the forecast was RAIN and more RAIN! Well, nothing dropped :)
I was excited to be shooting on a golf course!!
My plan was to have the guys drive around like crazy in the golf carts on the green.
Well, that wasn't happening. I guess you can't do that! I am a soccer guy, I have no clue about the golfing rules. Bummer :( We did manage to get some shots on the carts though.
Debbie and the girls were a blast, especially her crazy sister! We had a great time and made some awesome photos, and NO RAIN!!!!! Thanks for being good sports guys. Hope you enjoy the sneak-peek!

From Cali with LOVE!
Agustina and Aurelio are the quite type. Their love was evident when Aurelio told me he moved from California to be with the love of his life. With a small bridal party we had a chance to get a little creative with some photos. I even had some of the guys climb trees, thanks for taking one for the team! The reception was small and intimate with friends and family from out of town. I wish you guys the best in the many years to come :)

Viva Mexico! Mexican Independence photo shoot
I had to call up a few of my old grafitti heads to find a train yard for this shoot. No one seemed to know where I could go without having "blue eyes" patrolling the area.
So, at the end of the day the actual couple I photographed took me down to a yard in Pilsen.
The day was perfect for the shoot, though I had the managing editor holding my portable softbox, thnx Silvana great job. I almost did strangled her when she dropped my pocket wizard on the rails though.
Susana and Lupillo were born for this!! They have the gorgeous copper skin tone that made the outfits pop even more, and the revolutionary face we were looking for.
We got a couple of action shots and even recreated the infamous "Adelita".
Thanks guys for being so open to anything I requested.
We hit up Nuevo Leon after the shoot and downed a couple of Victorias, how fitting.

Get yo' shoes shined
I have been sleeping on this blog because I am so damn busy shooting...... I guess that is a good thing! Right MOCOS!
Anyway, it's shoots like this that make me enjoy my job, meeting REAL people working hard for a dollar.
Isauro Barrera works on shoes, jackets, cowboy pants and just about anything that is leather. The little shop up in Pilsen is an organized mess that leaves your shoes looking like new. For under $5 you can go and get your shoes shined and share a good conversation with Isauro, and his little dog who opens the door to the back when he hears the front door open. Too bad he wouldn't let me get a shot of him. I actually wanted to put him in a shoe and take a shot, but no go :( He wasn't having it.
Anyway, we got some interesting shots of his shop and he showed me some really old school sewing machine that he said was given to him by an old little lady he knew.
Next time you are on Halsted and 18th make sure to check out this little gem.
